The NVQ Level 2 in Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting Occupations is designed for experienced painters and decorators who want to turn their site knowledge and skills into a recognised, lifetime-valid qualification. This route is ideal for tradespeople with a minimum of 6 months’ experience working on painting and decorating projects on active construction sites — whether in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
This qualification confirms your competence in surface preparation, paint application, safe working, and quality finishing using various techniques and materials. It’s a fast-track route to your Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card and gives you the recognition to increase your rates, win more contracts, or boost your employment opportunities.

What It Covers:

- Conforming to health, safety and environmental guidelines
Eligibility:
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience working in decorative painting or industrial painting roles
- Age 18+
- Currently working in a relevant site-based role
