Course Overview

This qualification is ideal for experienced tradesmen who are stepping into or already operating in a supervisory role within the construction industry. It recognises your ability to oversee teams, coordinate tasks, and ensure safety and quality on site. If you’ve been leading a gang, supervising specific trades, or handling daily site tasks and coordination, this NVQ proves your competence and helps progress your career into more formal supervisory positions.

Assessment:

• 100% evidence-based portfolio
• No exams or classroom time
• Remote assessment (on-site visit if required)
• Includes observation, work logs, professional discussion, and witness testimonies

What It Covers:

• Supervising and coordinating construction operations
• Managing health, safety and welfare on site
• Monitoring quality of work and ensuring work meets specifications
• Allocating and monitoring resources, tools, and workforce
• Maintaining effective communication between teams and management
• Implementing site procedures and solving practical issues

Eligibility:

• At least 3–5 years construction experience
• Currently working in or stepping into a supervisory role
• Age 19+

Outcome:
