Course Overview

This NVQ is designed for those working as ceiling fixers within the construction industry. If you have at least 3 years of experience installing suspended ceilings or working in interior fit-outs, this qualification gives you a fast-track route to formally certify your skills. It is ideal for those already on site and seeking their Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card without needing classroom-based training.

Assessment:

• No classroom or exams
• 100% work-based evidence
• Remote portfolio submission (with on-site visit if required)
• Photos, videos, method statements, professional discussions, and references

What It Covers:

• Installing metal frame and lay-in grid ceiling systems
• Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
• Preparing work areas and materials
• Measuring, cutting, and fixing ceiling systems
• Maintaining health and safety on site
• Working efficiently in a team and independently

Eligibility:

• Minimum 3 years on-site experience in ceiling fixing or related interior systems
• Age 18+ • Currently employed in a construction or fit-out role
